I must say these are the best tires I have ever had to travel on.
I have just completed a 4×4 Club trip to Western Australia across as many unsealed roads and tracks we could find. Before I left Melbourne I had a new set of 265/75R16 S/T Maxx tires fitted to my Nissan Patrol.
I must say these are the best tires I have ever had to travel on. The tracks were very rocky with some broken limestone, sand, mud and water. The patrol was fully laden and heavey, no trailer was towed and the tire pressure was varied to suit the terrain.
Results:
No Chips at all
No uneven wear
No damage at all
Sidewall protection is great and the tires are great to drive on in all conditions.
After 12,000kms about 9,000 of this on unsealed roads, only 2mm down in tread as measured by the supplier of my tires Widetread Tyres Ferntree Gully VIC.
I will be referring them to my 4×4 Club Members, namely The Idlers 4×4 Club of VIC and City Offpeak 4×4 Club VIC.
The ground work gone into this new tire has paid off, Congratulations.
